How do I post available shifts for my home care staff?
With ShiftCare’s Job Board, you can create and post open shifts directly from your scheduler. You can include details such as date, time, location, required skills, and any specific attributes you’re looking for.
Can I filter who sees the job posting by location?
Yes. You can set a mile radius around the shift location so only staff within that range see the posting. This helps ensure local caregiver scheduling and reduces travel time.
Can I restrict job postings to a specific caregiver team or role?
Absolutely. You can post shifts to a specific care team and filter by staff attributes such as gender, qualifications, or certifications so only eligible staff can view and apply. This helps with specialised caregiver scheduling for patients with specific needs.
Will staff be notified when a shift is posted?
Yes. When a job matches a staff member’s profile and filters, they’ll receive a notification via the ShiftCare app, making it quick and easy to apply.
Can I require approval before giving someone a shift?
Yes. You can set a job posting to “approval required” allowing caregivers to express interest while giving your scheduler final control over the home care schedule.
Does Job Board support multi-staff shifts?
Not yet. Currently, each Job Board posting can be filled by one staff member. Multi-staff support is in development.
Who can access the Job Board feature?
The Job Board is available on ShiftCare’s Pro and Premium plans.
Can I post last-minute or urgent shifts?
Yes. You can post shifts at any time, and eligible staff will be notified immediately through the app to help fill urgent vacancies fast.
Can I include pay rates or bonuses in the posting?
Yes. You can include standard pay rates, overtime multipliers, or one-off shift bonuses in the job description to attract caregivers for last-minute scheduling.
Can staff cancel after accepting a shift?
If enabled, staff can withdraw from a shift within a set time frame, helping maintain schedule reliability and ensuring you have time to find replacements.
