What is the ShiftCare dashboard and how does it help home care agencies?
ShiftCare’s dashboard gives home care agencies real-time insights into workforce utilization, capacity planning, care quality, and compliance. It helps care managers track shift trends, monitor late clock-ins, and identify staffing gaps – ensuring smoother operations and better decision-making.
How often is dashboard data updated?
Key performance indicators like incidents, late clock-ins, and shift cancellations update in real time when the page is refreshed. Data visualizations, including utilization, vacant hours, and shift time variance, are updated once daily at midnight.
Can I adjust the date range on the dashboard?
Currently, date ranges are fixed. Metrics such as vacant hours, rostered vs. actual shift time variance, and shift cancellations operate on a rolling 30-day period. Future updates may introduce adjustable date ranges.
Does the dashboard include shifts from the job board?
Yes, shifts that are posted on the job board for a published roster are counted as vacant hours in the capacity planning section. However, draft shifts are not included in this phase.
How does the dashboard calculate staff utilization?
Utilization compares each staff member’s assigned hours against their contracted hours. Contracted hours are determined based on the weekly hours set in the staff member’s payroll settings, multiplied by the rostered pay period (weekly or fortnightly).
Are we able to input custom date filters for the dashboards?
This will be coming very soon with our phase 2 release. As part of phase 1 the top row of metrics will show a live view whereas the reports will be fixed to show a 2 week window.
